This Privacy Policy explains how ActiveEdge handles personal information in connection with PixEverywhere, pixeverywhere.com and the social game Pixel Cascade.

2. Categories of personal information we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us. Through the contact form we receive your name, email address, the subject you selected and your message. Through the game development request form we also receive the company or project name, the type of game and the platform you selected, if you provide them. Like almost every website, our hosting server also records standard technical access logs: IP address, requested page, time, browser type and referring page. Pixel Cascade does not require an account, and we do not collect payment information.

3. Purposes of processing

We use the information you send to respond to your request, to prepare a proposal if you asked about development work, to handle privacy and personal-data requests, and to keep a record of that correspondence. Server logs are used only to keep the site secure and to diagnose faults. We do not use personal information for marketing, profiling or automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

pixeverywhere.com does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Our own script uses your browser's local storage for three values: your answer to the cookie notice, your confirmation that you meet the legal gambling age in your province or territory, and your best Pixel Cascade score. These values stay on your device, are not sent to us and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser. Our Cookie Policy lists each item.

5. Analytics and service providers

We do not use analytics, advertising, remarketing or conversion-tracking services. Form submissions are processed by our web hosting provider and by an email delivery service acting as service providers on our instructions, only to deliver your message to us. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

6. Retention

Correspondence received through the forms is kept for up to 12 months after the last reply so that we can follow up if you write again. Correspondence related to a development project that goes ahead is kept for the life of the project and for six years afterwards to meet accounting and contractual obligations. Server logs are deleted automatically by the hosting provider on a rolling basis. You may ask for earlier deletion at any time, and we will comply unless a legal duty requires us to keep the record.

7. Security

Form submissions travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server and then over an encrypted connection to our mailbox. The server does not store submissions in a database. Access to the mailbox is limited to the people at ActiveEdge who answer correspondence and is protected by strong authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep only the information needed to reply to you.

8. Your rights and how to make a request

You may ask us whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent to its further use. To make a request, write to our Privacy Officer, Bert Schneider, at ojohikem91@gmail.com, or choose "Privacy or personal-data request" as the subject on our Contact page, which routes the message to the Privacy Officer. Please write from the email address you used when contacting us so that we can verify the request. We respond within 30 days.

9. Users in Canada

For users in Canada, ActiveEdge handles personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where relevant, applicable provincial privacy laws, including those of Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. This means we collect personal information only with your knowledge and consent, limit collection to what is needed for the purposes described above, protect it with appropriate safeguards and give you access to it on request. If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the privacy regulator of your province.

10. Cross-border transfers

ActiveEdge is based in London. If you write to us from Canada, your message will be transferred to and stored outside Canada, including in the United Kingdom and in countries where our hosting and email service providers operate. Information stored outside Canada may be subject to the laws of those countries. We use contractual and technical measures to protect personal information wherever it is processed.

11. Age

Access to Pixel Cascade is intended only for users who meet the legal gambling age applicable in their Canadian province or territory. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below that age. If you believe such a person has sent us information, contact the Privacy Officer and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site changes or when the law requires it. The effective date at the top of the page shows the current version.
