Small games, built with care, played anywhere.

PixEverywhere is a social gaming brand operated by ActiveEdge. Pixel Cascade is a social game developed by ActiveEdge for entertainment only, with no real-money gambling, no cash-out and no prizes of real-world value. It is playable right here on this page, and we build games for other teams too.

Free to play · Nothing to install · Legal gambling age in your province or territory applies

Our game

Pixel Cascade

A calm colour-matching puzzle. Tap any group of two or more touching tiles of the same colour to clear it. Columns drop, gaps close, and the round ends when no groups are left. The whole game lives on this page, runs in your browser and never asks you to sign in.

Why we made it

We wanted a game you can finish in the time it takes a kettle to boil. One rule, five colours, a hundred and eight tiles, and enough depth that planning the last few groups actually matters.

What it is not

Pixel Cascade is not a gambling product and does not simulate one. It does not offer or promote real-money gambling and does not provide cash, cash-out or prizes of real-world value. The score is a number that helps you beat your own previous round, and that is all.

Built in the open

The game is plain HTML, CSS and a single script with no frameworks and no network calls. It works on phones, tablets and desktops, with keyboard support and labelled tiles for screen readers.

What a PixEverywhere game promises

Every game we publish under our own name follows the same short list. It keeps the studio honest and makes it easy to tell what you are getting before you tap play.

Free, with nothing to unlock

Every level, mode and colour is available from the first second. There are no energy meters, no timers that ask for money and no premium tiers.

No real-money play

Nothing in our games can be bought, bet, won or cashed out. Scores are for bragging rights only, and we never ask for payment details.

Runs in the browser

No app store, no installer, no update prompts. If your device can open this page, it can play the game, including on slow connections.

Your data stays with you

We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site. The only things stored are your cookie choice and your best score, both on your own device.

Rules you can read in a minute

We publish the full rules and scoring next to the game. No hidden odds, no surprise mechanics, and no systems designed to nudge you into spending.

Short sessions by design

A round of Pixel Cascade ends naturally within a few minutes. There are no streaks to protect and no daily rewards that punish you for stepping away.

A small studio with an opinion about play

PixEverywhere is run by ActiveEdge from East Smithfield in London. We are a small team of designers and engineers who like games that are generous with the player: quick to learn, satisfying to master and easy to put down. Our games are available to players in Canada and other countries where free-to-play casual games can be offered without restriction.

We publish under our own label and we take on development work for other companies. Both halves of the studio share the same toolkit, the same design principles and the same people, which is why the games we build for clients feel like the games we build for ourselves.

  • Original mechanics designed and tested in-house, not reskinned templates.
  • Web-first engineering: standards-based HTML, CSS and JavaScript that runs everywhere.
  • Accessible by default, with keyboard control, readable contrast and screen-reader labels.
  • No dark patterns, no manipulative monetisation and no real-money mechanics, ever.

We build games for other teams, too.

Need a playable for a campaign, a casual title for your community or a prototype to test an idea? ActiveEdge designs, builds and ships browser and mobile games end to end, using the same approach you can see in Pixel Cascade above.

  • Concept and prototype Core loop, rules and a playable build you can hand to testers.
  • Art, sound and interface Original visuals and a UI that works on a phone held with one hand.
  • Engineering and launch Performance, accessibility, hosting advice and post-launch fixes.

How a game comes together here

Whether it is our own release or a client project, the path from idea to playable follows four plain steps. Pixel Cascade went through exactly this process.

01

Find the one rule

We write the core rule on a single line and build a paper or spreadsheet prototype before any code. If the rule is not fun on paper, we keep looking.

02

Build the grey box

A playable version with placeholder squares and no art. This is where scoring, pacing and difficulty get tuned with real play sessions.

03

Dress it properly

Colour, motion, sound and interface arrive once the mechanic is proven. Everything is checked for contrast, touch targets and reduced-motion settings.

04

Ship and listen

We release, read every message that comes through the contact form, and fix what players find. Small games earn trust by being maintained.

Play for the fun of it

Our games are designed for short, relaxed sessions and intended only for users who meet the legal gambling age in their Canadian province or territory. There is nothing to win and nothing to lose, but we still think good habits matter. Our Responsible Social Play page explains how the games are built to respect your time and what to do if play stops feeling like fun.

Questions people ask us

Is Pixel Cascade really free?

Yes. There is no price, no in-game shop, no subscription and no advertising inside the game. We publish it as a demonstration of how we work and because we enjoy it.

Do I need an account to play or to save my score?

No. The game runs entirely in your browser. Your best score is kept in your browser's local storage on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing site data removes it.

Can I win money or prizes?

No. Pixel Cascade is a social game for entertainment only. It has no real-money play, no virtual currency and no prizes of any kind, and it is not a gambling product.

Can ActiveEdge build a game for my company?

Yes. We take on casual, puzzle and social game projects for brands, publishers and communities. Read about the service on the Game Development page and send a short brief through the form there.

Where is the studio based and how do I reach you?

ActiveEdge is based at 46-48 E Smithfield, London E1W 1AW. The fastest way to reach us is by email at ojohikem91@pixeverywhere.com or through the Contact page. We reply within two business days.
